About this checker
This is an independent project, built by markontechcom on X and markonisic on GitHub. It isn't affiliated with The Linux Foundation or the CNCF.
Why it exists
Upgrades break on API versions that stopped being served, often in manifests nobody has touched since they were written. Finding them shouldn't mean installing a tool or sending a manifest to someone else's server, so this one runs in a browser tab and needs neither.
Where the data comes from
- The official Deprecated API Migration Guide, for removals and migration notes.
- The lifecycle functions in the Kubernetes API source, extracted by a script at a pinned version, for every version number.
- The Kubernetes releases page and release notes, for what's current.
How it's verified
A test fails if any entry disagrees with the extracted source. A handful of upstream values are known placeholders, so those are overridden, each with a reason and a citation. A second check looks through past releases to catch more of them.
Data was last verified 2026-10-31, and covers up to Kubernetes 1.37. See the changelog for updates. Found wrong data? Email [email protected].
